This week I had a great time connecting with professionals and interacting with them in a professional setting at Business Symposium! I had a great interview with a professional who managed a multimillion dollar assisted living center. I spoke with a friend, also in the ISM program, about how our interviews went and gained a better understanding of what I could’ve done better during the interview and networking experience. I utilized this information to prepare and be more ready for the interviews that may come in the near future! Ultimately this week served as a way to prepare me for my independent study and understanding how to network and interview effectively. My goal is to meet with several professionals in several different fields of practicing public policy to further my understanding of the impacts of Policymaking in various fields.
