This was my first in person interview that I’ve had, making it far more nerve-wracking as it was a completely different experience but it was successful and we made sure to keep our masks on while socially distancing the entire time. From the interview, besides learning more about the field of my interest, I learned a lot about the education process. She said she’s worked with many college students whose hopes, similar to mine, are to impact policy in a public service position. She also spoke a lot about her own research which inspired me to really get thinking about my original work. The reason this has been my favorite interview thus far is due to her open-mindedness politically. She is constantly learning and takes a more philosophical and ethical stance on things which is something I’m interested in as well.

I believe that overall it was successful and I gained some valuable insight even though her field isn’t exactly what I want to pursue.
